QA/​Techops

OneSheep is creating a new role combining QA and TechOps that will help increase our ability to deliver extraordinary ministry impact across all of our projects.

You will be passionate about seeing technology delivered with excellence and used appropriately to push ministries forward and help people meet with Jesus. Your eye for detail, critical thinking and servant heart will become an invaluable part of our team. 

You’ll be willing to jump in and help the team do whatever it takes to succeed. A problem spotter and problem solver. You’ll be fully immersed in digital services and how the internet hangs together — a natural tech wizz, whilst understanding the world from a user perspective. You’ll have no tolerance for bugs, slow software or out of place pixels, being able to clearly communicate what needs to change and why. 

A team player you’ll enjoy working closely with others to understand and resolve issues quickly. You’ll have excellent communication skills; explaining a bug to a developer, helping a partner get set up in a new tool or walking a user through a solution.

Consistent, self managing and happy in a remote environment, you’ll be well organised with good time management. Focused, diligent work won’t phase you and you’ll have patience and determination to get to the bottom of things. Knowing technology and the world is changing rapidly you will be proactive in developing yourself and eager to learn from failure and welcome feedback.

You’ll be up for some flexible hours to join calls on the other side of the world or jump on a plane to hang out with the team or partners (when travel is allowed again!).

Bonus points for knowledge of automated test suites, devops skills, writing User Stories or having a side hustle as a social media wizz. 

This role may be for you if you’re looking for a way to use your natural tech skill and passion to serve the Kingdom of God and want to explore a career in QA or BA roles in tech.

Core Tasks

  • Testing apps and products at all levels.

  • Setting up and managing dev and SaaS services and accounts internally and for our partners (GSuite, Servers, DNS etc)

  • Managing and publishing mobile apps

  • Maintaining excellent service levels to our partners and ensuring they and the team have everything they need to meet sprint deadlines.

Our process

  2. We’ll be in touch. If we like what you’re bringing we’ll have an informal meet and great to check we both want to proceed. 
  3. If so, there will be a small technical challenge followed by a debrief together. 
  4. Finally a formal interview and an opportunity to meet the rest of OneSheep team.
  5. We design awesome things together!
